It has been over a year since the last Strengthcast something that I almost find hard to believe. I began the entire concept back in the early days of the internet when I was logging on with my friend’s gateway with a 1G hard drive! and a whopping 512k of memory. Back then the internet was this wild and wonderful concept that basically took forever to load.
Last night I sat at my computer and watched HD videos online in lieu of watching television and I was blown away not only by the quality and passion that these creative people have put into their work, but the distance we have come from the early days of dial-up. Back then I was struggling to come up with the technology to simply get a decent sound recording onto my (roommate’s) computer. When we finally got it going I was able to realize the dream of creating a place to discover the truth about fitness and share that with the world.
Now the whole connected planet knows what a podcast is and The Strenghtcast has finally podfaded. In a way I am sad to see it go and I miss our weekly talks but the truth is that the experiment of strength radio and its evolution into Strength Nation has reached its end. I will be shutting the doors and hanging a for sale sign on the domain name this month March 2010.
My favorite part about the whole thing was finding out about you and your fitness journey and sharing that piece with you. I would love to be able to continue to do that and I hope you will choose to stay connected to me and my training expertise. As my fitness has evolved I intend to share that with you in a way that makes your life better, faster, stronger, leaner and more enjoyable.
For now I will be communicating with you through the mailing list from my personal training site trainerdirect.com
